Short-period buildings (Low rises) are typically subjected to higher base shear but smaller displacement and very low risk of the P-Delta effect.
Long-period buildings (Tall buildings) are usually subjected to lower seismic loads, but that can cause larger displacement and P-Delta forces
However, for buildings in the Bangkok area, the design ground acceleration is quite constant up to the period of 2 s. So tall buildings might also be subject to high seismic force and large displacement.
